Alameda County Department of Public Health was challenged to reduce the number of new HIV cases in the East Bay, especially in populations of people of color. They uncovered a huge information and awareness gap in these communities around using the drug PrEP as a valuable prevention method.
510media joined the team to uncover insights and motivators that we could collectively build an awareness campaign around that would celebrate and educate our target communities and help give them better health outcomes. Be Here be came a campaign of the people for the people, connecting real East Bay constituents and letting them tell their stories in their words on why they choose to use PrEP and how it effected their lives.
Be Here became a flagship campaign model for Alameda County and they have continued to use the learnings from the campaign to further more outreach to underserved citizens of the East Bay.
